🪪 Hawaii Tenant Rights
Wallet Card

Print, fold, carry. Pocket reference for the moment a landlord crosses the line.

Many Lahaina residents have unreliable internet post-fire — and tenant disputes never happen at a convenient time. The single most useful thing we can hand you is a piece of paper that fits in your wallet, with the statute numbers and phone numbers you actually need at the moment of conflict. Print it. Fold it in half. Carry it. The next time a landlord tells you something is "the law," you'll have the real law — and a free legal-aid phone number — already in your pocket.

How to print

  1. Use Letter (8.5" × 11") paper, portrait orientation.
  2. In the print dialog, set scaling to 100% (Actual Size) — do not "fit to page" or it will be wrong.
  3. Print in color if you can, but black-and-white works fine.
  4. Cut along the dashed border lines of each card.
  5. Place the front and back card back-to-back (or fold once if printed as a single piece).
  6. Slide it into your wallet behind your driver's license.

Tip: print 5 — give them to neighbors. Tenant rights only work when tenants know them.
