Changelog
Verifiable trail of what's been added, when, and why. Documented for journalists, researchers, and tenants who want to know what's new.
This page tracks substantive updates to the slumsetterrace.com site, especially additions to the verified court-records dossier and corporate-structure findings. Every dated entry corresponds to a real change visible on the site or its underlying source material. Where a finding is sourced to public records (Hawaii eCourt Kokua, BREG, etc.), the case number or document reference is provided.
Site Updates page, glossary, and printable wallet card published
Spanish translations of survival guide, demand letter generator, and Maui tenant rights guide added (-es.html versions). Glossary of tenant & court terms published โ plain-English definitions for everything from "Plaintiff" to "Summary Possession." Hawaii tenant rights wallet card (printable) added โ pocket-sized, vintage-feel, designed to be folded and carried.
Court records dossier completed โ all 73 eCourt Kokua results reviewed
All 73 Hawaii eCourt Kokua results reviewed across 4 pages of search results. Final breakdown verified: 70 Plaintiff cases (MBR suing tenants), 2 tenant-initiated Circuit Court Civil cases against the property (cases 2CC171000510 and 2CC171000253, both 2017), and 1 unrelated insurance/County matter (2DRC-22-0001599). Total court footprint directly involving the apartment complex: 83 cases over 9 years (June 2017 โ March 2026).
Privacy redaction policy applied site-wide
Individual tenant names removed from all court-records tables across the site. Property, management, and corporation names preserved. Privacy notes added at the top of each table explaining the redaction standard.
Vintage Property Specs Card added to homepage hero
Surfaces the 83-court-cases finding within the first viewport. Visitors no longer have to dig three pages deep to encounter the court footprint number โ it's part of the hero now.
Maui Beachfront Residential, LLC (dba Sunset Terrace) identified
Entity identified via Hawaii eCourt Kokua case 2DRC-25-0002662, where the Plaintiff's party name appears verbatim as "MAUI BEACHFRONT RESIDENTIAL, LLC dba Sunset Terrace." New dedicated dossier page maui-beachfront-residential.html published. This resolves the long-standing question of who tenants should actually name in a demand letter or lawsuit.
Site-wide entity-clarification sweep
Demand letter, small claims, AG complaint, complaints, complaints-filed, fair-housing, survival-guide, and FAQ pages updated to acknowledge the dual-entity structure: owner Maui Beachfront Residential, LLC; manager AMC LLC. The distinction matters when naming the defendant.
Mobile readability + WCAG 2.5.5 touch-target fixes site-wide
Form inputs forced to 16px to prevent iOS auto-zoom on focus. Buttons enforced to a minimum 44ร44px tap target per WCAG 2.5.5. Body text on phones increased for readability.
Page-specific Open Graph images for top 5 pages
Custom OG images generated for: maui-beachfront-residential, complaints-filed, marketing-vs-reality, lahaina-rental-scams, press-kit. Improves social-sharing CTR vs. the generic site-wide OG image.
Schema.org JSON-LD added to 8 previously-untagged pages
FAQPage, HowTo, Article, Organization, ContactPage, Game, and CreativeWork schemas added as appropriate to each page type. Improves rich-result eligibility in Google Search.
Three new SEO-targeted pages published
lahaina-apartment-reviews.html, lahaina-rental-scams.html, and maui-tenant-rights.html โ each targeting a distinct high-intent search query bucket.
Cross-platform rating disparity analysis
Added to reviews.html: Yelp 3.4 vs. Google 4.4 vs. property's own site 5.0. The pattern of higher ratings on lower-friction-to-post platforms is a documented signal of review-source skew.
Tier 1 accountability tools published
file-ag-complaint.html (Hawaii AG Consumer Protection complaint generator), class-action.html (anonymous interest registration), amc-llc.html (corporate dossier), and press-kit.html (for journalists).
Tier 2 tenant resources published
small-claims.html, fair-housing.html, statute-of-limitations.html, post-fire.html, alternatives.html, marketing-vs-reality.html, and submit-tip.html.
Cockroach Clicker game published
game.html launched, replacing the original quiz. Stickier engagement metric, more shareable, on-brand with the property's documented pest-control history.
Site-wide SEO pass
AggregateRating schema, LocalBusiness schema, HowTo schemas, Search Console verification placeholders, hreflang alternates, and CTR-optimized titles applied across all existing pages.
Site established
Initial launch with the original twelve pages: reviews.html, complaints.html, timeline.html, faq.html, survival-guide.html, move-out-checklist.html, demand-letter.html, contact.html, apply.html, share.html, index.html, and 404.html.
Methodology & Fact-Checking
Every dated entry above corresponds to a real, externally-verifiable change to slumsetterrace.com. Where a finding is sourced to public records, the case number or document reference is included inline so it can be checked independently โ the Hawaii eCourt Kokua case search at courts.state.hi.us is free to use, as is the BREG entity search at hbe.ehawaii.gov.
The court-record figures published on this site (70 Plaintiff cases, 2 tenant-initiated Circuit Court Civil cases, 1 unrelated matter; 83 total cases involving the property) reflect a complete review of all 73 eCourt Kokua results returned for the relevant party-name searches across June 2017 โ March 2026. Individual tenant names are redacted from public-facing tables; corporate/property names are not.
Journalists, researchers, or anyone who wants to fact-check a specific claim are welcome to request the underlying source list. The contact channel is press-kit.html, which routes to [email protected]. We aim to reply within 48 hours and provide case-number lists, screenshots, or original source links on request.
